According to Kiplinger.com, finding the best cities for singles goes beyond simply identifying the number of bachelors and bachelorettes. Income and living costs are also important factors. The top 10 cities making the list have household income levels well above the Census Bureau average of $49,536. Kiplinger also factored in what they called a date-night tab: the average cost of two movie tickets and a bottle of wine.
Kiplinger.com credited Ann Arbor’s unusual combination of high wages, reasonable living costs and a well-educated dating pool to earning the top spot on their list of best cities for singles.
